The path in life - Where to?

Life is always full of obstacles and also full of highways i.e. spider web. We lead our own path. Well, in my case, with God's direction (if I remembered to surrender things to Him before making my own decision -.- .. bad me!) At times, we just dwell in where we are. Afraid of making changes, afraid of doing new things - afraid of the unseen. I am like that too. Perhaps, I am afraid to fail.

Well on another matter, I do feel my circle of friends getting smaller too. No longer part of the big gang in my dept, haha guess partly my fault for not spending time to follow up things with them and partly because those people no longer think i fit their group. No matter how or why, it seems like I no longer bother by this matter (I used to feel sad if I am left out haha). Guess when people grew up (meaning older), we tend to be quieter in a sense or wiser in a way. We don't gossips, we don't criticize for the sake of conversation any longer. What's the point if we can get to know everything on the earth. I would rather have a few "golden" friends that I trust and enjoy in their company :) Glad these friends are golden eggs to me hehe!

Record 22: Ruffy the dog is actually Tiger in name

The dog that we took care of few months back was actually named as Tiger initially. Got to know this from our neighbour (opposite) who has been taking good care of him before the accident. Tiger is more responsive as we called him this name :) After a few weeks of care since we brought him back, he is able to jump and run like a normal doggy. After being persuaded by our neighbour on the right, we decided to let him go... free. After praying to the Lord, He leaded us to Bukit Jambul to release Tiger. Indeed, it is a good place for him with a few more other dogs. Not just that the people there actually provided them food and drink. How do we know? One day, after releasing Tiger there, we went to visit him secretly. Even though Tiger waited at the same spot for us for a few days already, we saw a kind lady that went to pour clean water and rice for Tiger to eat. In my heart, I thanked God again and again for His blessing upon Tiger. At the first few days, Tiger rejoices when he sees us. It does hurt me and A-Roo for letting him go and it worries us to that time. However, after weeks, Tiger no longer sticks to us anymore for he has found his new gang of friends. I hope he is doing well and growing up healthily. :)

Record 21: It is hard to be the bad guy

At times, I am unsure whether what I did is wrong or not. It is definitely not my style but at certain times, we need to. It is not a major issue actually. It is in regards of my teammate that missed meetings again and again given the reason of unable to wake up and so. I have been reminding him couple of times, trying to let him know in a nice way that the meeting is something that is important that we ought to attend. It is actually the most important meeting that we have regularly with SJ .. our group meeting. Well, in a professional view point, it is about being accountable for the things we own, attending to every issue/question that people have upon our tasks. Today, I decided to voice out my concern to him that I am displeased with his action. Initially, I intended to cc our manager in the list for this issue has happened couple of times. But in the end, after pondering through, I deleted my manager's email from the list .. as what is the point of making people feel bad unless I have lost faith in helping him. Guess I still want to trust him to change and giving him chance to change. After sending the email to him, I submitted this matter to God, praying that God will touch his heart to understand the matter and will change for good. To me, this team mate is not a bad person. Probably his soft skills have yet to be sharpen and he is still unsure of what needed to be done. I just hope God's grace will continue to shine upon me to guide him and upon him, to understand the matter. It does made me feel bad of voicing the concern but guess it is better than none for people needs to change for better through advice. Oh Lord, may Your blessing be upon me to help those in needs. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen.

Record 20: Feeling sad and yet feeling grateful

Today, A-Roo received his focal. My heart feels for him. He is such a smart guy, talented and yet people here does not appreciate him much. There isn't much I can do but just to cling close to him. I know him too well, he will always look things in the brighter perspective and always smile. How great is my hubby-to-be. No matter what, I will stand by him. I will always be there to hold him even he asked me not to :P

We bought the dog, Ruffy back home. To our amaze, God answered our prayer and he managed to walk a bit and slowly even though his fourth leg is still broken. Praise the Lord. This is truly amazing as he was healed by himself without undergoing any surgery. Thank you, God for hearing us. Now is time for the dog to rest a bit and walk a bit and we will be bringing him for another vet visit for 2nd opinion.

I love you, A-Roo. I want you to be happy, at times, it is out of my control and i cannot do anything but to stay near to you. Cheer up! Lord knows you and I know you. We know you will make it successfully soon!

Record 19: Sometimes when we have to then we will do it no matter what

Soon, there will be a new member in the house. A small doggy called Ruffy :) I love A-Roo for who he is, for the heart he has. How I feel blessed to have him! Hehe.. a heart that is so gentle and filled with love, no harden in whatsoever way even when things might be tough. Really love you, A-Roo. ;) No matter what will happen.. let's pray for Ruffy. Hope he will heal well and able to walk again and live healthily.
Abba Father, I just want to continue to surrender Ruffy into Your hand. Father, I ask of your Mighty and healing hand be upon him as You heal him fully and recover him from his injuries. May Ruffy be spared from all the pains and uncomfortable feelings that he might have, Lord. Let miracle happen on this poor little dog O'Lord. Come Lord as we beg you Lord. And I pray all these in Jesus's name. Amen.

Record 18: Not enough time?

When I think of this question, it actually draws me into many situations that are happening now in my life. Not enough time for wedding preparation (all the arrangements, florist finalization, song selection, slide making...blah blah blah...), not enough time for work and Silicon is coming!! (applicable to me and A-Roo..esp A-Roo.. my heart actually feels sad for all the troubles he is facing now, not enough time for friends (to get together and have a good chat and follow-up), not enough time for many many more things... -_-
But of all the "not enough time" matters, I feel for what A-Roo is facing. As a good future Mrs A-Roo, I shall need to be 1) patient 2) caring 3) understanding 4) helpful 5) always submit things to God on his behalf. We worry but we tend to forget we have a stronghold there waiting to help us - Our Father.
Abba Father, I just want to stop at this moment to pray to You Lord, those that concern and worry us. I want to esp surrender A-Roo into Your mighty hand that You will bless him abundantly with wisdom, knowledge and all the skills required for his succession of work. May he, Lord, be also granted with good rest and sleep Lord that he will be refreshed every day to get focus in his work Lord. May You Lord, provide him with all the neccessary helps. Thank you Lord and I pray all this in Jesus's name.

A day of grateful

I want to remember yesterday because yesterday is the day where my hero is on rescue again. :) I truly love him for who he is and for what he wants me to. He wants me to be happy. It has been days where there are many quarreling (not with him), mis-communication, disappointment... with my mum. The heart-bearing pain is so hard to endure that tears of sadness just flowed down the cheeks. My A-Roo has been there to console me, comfort me, asking me whether am I fine almost every now and then, giving me a warm heart, giving me a smile to assure me things will be fine, giving me opinions on solving the matter, giving his cute innocent look hoping to give him a smile. I just love him and knowing how indeed he is so much important to me.
The day and only the day where someone actually stood up for me to clear the conflicts between me and my mum yet consoling her at the same time. I feel so touched that someone actually protected me, care so much about me and wanting to assure I am safe and happy. I love you dear! :) No one else could give what you have provided me.. your true love :D

Record 16: Fun fun FUN!!!

Last two days which is on the 8th of Jan 2011, me, A-Roo, CC and PL went for my gown choosing! :P We all have great fun! I tried more than 40 dresses of wedding gowns and evening gowns. Thanks to all of them that I managed to narrow down to 5 selection within 2 hours (that's fast!!). Tough job but great fun! Really thank you both close friends that are both excited and more than willing to accompany me for the mission hehe! Plus, the Aspial lady, Shirley has been really nice and friendly! One mission down!

Record 15: A RM209 to warm the hearts of the elders

Finally, I completed the mission of the year! Me and A-Roo went to Giant today to buy numerous stuff to be donated away for the elders in Charis Home. We bought : 10kg rice x3, 1kg Milo x3, Kopi-O x3, toilet roll x2, Canola Oil 3kg x2... The car boot was fully utilized to max :P Blessed we feel when Charis Relau has yet to close even thought it was past 5pm. Still remembered the look on the nice helper when he saw the stuff in the back of the boot. He offered to get a trolley to move them for us. :) *thank you*
Glad that it makes a smile for those elders, hope it will be used for what God meant to be good. ;) God bless those who are in need! How much would RM209 meant to them as compared to us? Well, let those who need it, have it...

May Lord touches the hearts of many to provide for those who are poor. I truly thank you Lord for providing me more than I needed. Let me be reminded of Him who provides at all time. Praise You Lord and thank you.

Record 14: Not it, I guess

Well, I am still unsure if it is H1N1.. my fever stopped on Thrus. However, I am having really bad headache and bodyache... not to say nausea and dizzy =_= Pray Lord will bless me with a speedy recovery. It is rather uncomfortable and not ease at all!! Sorry A-Roo if I am behaving a little moody..I love playing Maple Story with you..it is just the combination of the abnormal flickering, the way I need to tilt down my head --> nausea... Lov u, A-Roo...

Record 11: Our marriage preparation progress

*Ahem* *Ahem* This is to keep a simple record of my wedding preparation. A short and sweet record is truly enough for me to refresh my memory of the sweet bitter time..haha.. sweet is because it is indeed sweet (the word implies directly) and loving. Bitter is because it is tedious haha.

We started planning for our wedding in Sept'10 when our parents inquired us on our wedding date target. That's when we started to look into all the possible dates that suits me, A-Roo, my parents, A-Roo's parents and not forgetting our church and our pastor. There are indeed many factors involved *phew* but the excitement was great when we can finalized on the one and only date. Many prayers from many people have filled our prayer bowls. Our biggest Godzilla (in replace of the roadblock :P) in this area is my parents' business of course. It is our family nature that our parents would not let go off their work no matter what occasion it is (chinese new year, convocation, marriage..etc). In order to get a right date, we chose a day which is a weekday and a holiday..and there it is 2nd of May 2011.

Confirmed with Pastor Moses as officiator (Done)
Signed up with Aspial Bridal Shop (Done - 24/10/10)
Confirmed with Lone Pine for 2nd May 2011 (Pay deposit - Hehe!!)
Meet-up with florists (Finalizing)
Wedding favors (In progress - only 120 prepared ...)
Wedding Band Look-out (In progress - going for platinum now)
Master Bedroom Carpentry Work (Still finding)
Pre-wedding gown choosing (Done. Thanks SH, CC and PL! :)
Wedding live band (In progress - will talk to Ronald and HeartBeat)
Food Tasting in Lone Pine (Not yet started)
Pre-wedding pix taking (23/01/11)
Save-The-Date (In progress - sent out to out-station friends and ex-Alterians)
Guest List (In progress)
......................and many many more..

Well, this is really really a rough summary.. there were many discussion, many options, many research works involved in each of them.... phew :P

Record 10: *Reminder to write Seong Hong's baptism + Xmas day!!*

*Reminder*

Record 9: Back To School

Our company hold a departmental dinner in Rasa Sayang Hotel end of Nov 2010. And guess what is the theme ?? ... "Back To School!" Initially all of us feel the theme is kind of lame and not many people are going to dress up accordingly. Well, the result showed a different outcome .. surprisingly ;) and... we all enjoyed ourselves with the many games and excitements... and for me, I am truly flattered with my new netbook! :) I am not lucky but blessed indeed. Will talk more on this later on. So basically, we had a 8-course Chinese dinner set. The games are truly amazing .. why? it is really.. again really very much related to the theme. Imagine that you are being ask of a mathematical questions, chemistry knowledge and so on. Interesting! Our table won most of the games like find-who game and they need to do some acting on the stage. A-Roo ended up on stage needed to say five different languages. Ha-ha! Our directors and managers are all dressed up and ready to go. Some dresses like kiddo with green short pants, white shirt tucked and carrying school bag around.. haha well, both me and Ah Roo are not less different... Here's our pix:

I went back hometown the week before and managed to found my precious hehe : the school badge and my school tie ;) .. ok i know i am not wearing a full Malaysian school uniform .. well does it matters? As long as I looked like one, no complaints! I just don't feel like spending a penny on the outfits since I am broke T.T .. as for A-Roo, he's wearing my bro's school uniform. Well that's what we call a "TRUE" uniform....

When they start giving away lucky draw, I was asking God for blessing and providence. I am asking in want of a netbook. It's for A-Roo as we really needed one. God knows my heart and why we needed in *not going to explain here*. There are like 40-inches LED TV, Samsung Galaxy S, printer, home-theater but the netbook is the one that catched my attention. Praying quietly in where I am, I talked to God and let God's will be done. And to my amusement, God answered my prayer when...SJNeoh spoke the magic number.. 1 ... 4 .. 0.. :) So, I just would like to thank God for what He has blessed me. I told A-Roo this magical experience for it is a blessing from God to him through me :)

"You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in Your providence watched over my spirit" Job 10:12

Record 8.1: The discovery walk in Mahsuri's Island

*This is to remind myself of what I need to write here* To complete my travel journal!!!

Thursday, December 2, 2010

Record 8: The discovery walk in Mahsuri's Island

Haha, Mahsuri's island is no other than the island of Langkawi. This record is to keep the memorial of our engagement celebration trip :D We went to Langkawi the day after Nov 4th. Thanks to Devali day! This gate-away trip was of 3 days 2 nights in the awesome yet romantic Awana Porto Malai.

Day 1:
-------
We leave PG to LKW early morning with our first ride on Fire Fly...Haha, we have never take a propeller before so it is kind of an interesting experience. ;)

Upon reaching the airport, we rented a tiny kancil for like RM140 for the three days there. They even give us free map. We gave up using the map after we got lost looking for a petrol station. =_= so well well, we decided to stick with our beloved navigator, dear Garmin :P. Since we arrived early than the check-in time, we went around the town looking for lunch. I spotted this pizza restaurant advertisement. The place and pizza look attractive to me so we just went on the quest searching for it. There is a big banner with the word "PIZZA" outside the restaurant thus kind of a easy spot for visitors like us. I ordered a pizza while A-Roo ordered a baguette with salami! They were very very generous with the cheese ... yum yum and the baguette was filled with many salami pieces as well :)

After filling our dearest tummy, we decided to drop by Makam Mahsuri since it is just on the same road heading to hotel. We paid RM5 for the entrance fee. Kinda disappointed initially as the makam was not properly taken care of and the wooden houses there were mostly closed. Nevertheless, we continue to walk around, taking pix, sighting the animals around and wondering how could people even selling the well water for drinking! Haha well to our amaze, we actually think it was worth the value after visiting the museum (last destination in the makam area). We enjoyed reading the history of her, the history after her and the video-remake of her life. We feel sorry for what she had to gone thru just for the sake of someone's jealousy but at the same time, glad the family wars were over with the reconciliation of the newer generation.

Soon after that, we were on the road back again but now is to check-in to our beloved hotel. A-Roo was truly surprised with the place where are staying. He was like "Woooww..." Haha, never thought with the price we paid, it was a good bargain :D Even though it does not have a beach of its own, it truly has a breath-taking sight of its own kind.. the boats' area, island surrounding it, the hotel look itself. It was just .. well.. nice and glamor.

After a walk in the hotel area, we went out to search for food.. well, can't blame us..it was time for dinner... we ended up with Malay food. I found this restaurant thru a blog while I was looking for details of Langkawi. Apparently, the food was really great (I LOVE THE TOMYAM!!) and the price is really reasonable. We ordered a seafood tomyam, ikan bakar and a vege :) Great meal! We then have a good night rest at hotel with the beers that we have bought.

Record 7: Give thanks..

Sometimes it really awes me on how God works miracles in our life. Haha, I will keep remind myself of the good things that come and the wonders God has worked for me either upon hearing my prayers or He knows my heart. Well, will just leave this short and simple.

Heavenly Father, I just want to thank you for knowing my heart and hearing my prayer. I thank you Lord for resolving my matter with my mum and not just that, Lord, You showered my weekend with her and my family with many joy and laughter despite all the bad scenarios that I have anticipated. Thank you Lord, that you even flourished A-Roo’s relationship with my family. I know my family enjoyed his company. Lord, You always provide me the best and more than I have asked and I know my “Thank You” might not be able to express my gratitude in full but You know my heart. I give thanks all these in Jesus’s name. Amen.

Record 6: The missing cake!!

Haha, this is to remind me that I have my very 1st birthday cake from A-Roo!! This incident is on 29th Oct 2010. Ohh..it is the Millie Crepe keke.... Mr Roo bought cake without telling me :P The story goes like this, we have decided to go back home early that day to prepare for our CG gathering in our house. Upon reaching my car, Mr Roo said he forgot to take something from his cube so we decided that I will go home 1st. Mana tau, I go and wait for him in the car till i saw him out. Blur case 1: *Click* He was holding a big green plastic bag and yet I didn't suspect anything. =_=. We drove along together and upon reaching home, Mr Roo was very unhappy and upset (dunno y...) for I want him to go down together. He in his moody mood zoomed down from the car and went into house directly. Blur case 2: I didn't notice the thing he carried =_=. Blur case 3: I went and open the fridge and I ... I ....I ... saw the cake kekeke :P I zoomed up to find him and thanked him for the cake! Now I know why he's in bad mood. Just simply because I always get into his way hahaha! THANK YOU, A-ROo :) ... the day ends with a nice bday celebration with my CG :)

This pix showed "behind-the-scene" while I was making a wish :P

Record 5: I don't know what I can do

I have one bad encounter today. :( It's about my mum and me. It really hurts so much and come to a point I don't know what I can say, what I can do. I really care and worry for her but yet my care for her seems like a burden to her. The things I mentioned seems not helping at all and the things she said hurts me dearly. I just don't understand how could she put that matter above her daughter's matter. We always talk things through in problems we have but never when come to this. Like me and my bro said, pray to God and leave it to the Lord to make things happened.

Heavenly Father, hear the cries of the needy. We need you so much Lord, for You are Almighty. You know our hearts and you know our desires. You know what is best and what needed to be done. I just want to surrender this matter unto your hand and may Your will be done, O Lord. And Lord, may You also restore my relationship with mum and let there be a strong love bond between us always so we may trust each other always. Amen.
