Record 11: Our marriage preparation progress

*Ahem* *Ahem* This is to keep a simple record of my wedding preparation. A short and sweet record is truly enough for me to refresh my memory of the sweet bitter time..haha.. sweet is because it is indeed sweet (the word implies directly) and loving. Bitter is because it is tedious haha.

We started planning for our wedding in Sept'10 when our parents inquired us on our wedding date target. That's when we started to look into all the possible dates that suits me, A-Roo, my parents, A-Roo's parents and not forgetting our church and our pastor. There are indeed many factors involved *phew* but the excitement was great when we can finalized on the one and only date. Many prayers from many people have filled our prayer bowls. Our biggest Godzilla (in replace of the roadblock :P) in this area is my parents' business of course. It is our family nature that our parents would not let go off their work no matter what occasion it is (chinese new year, convocation, marriage..etc). In order to get a right date, we chose a day which is a weekday and a holiday..and there it is 2nd of May 2011.

Record 9: Back To School

Our company hold a departmental dinner in Rasa Sayang Hotel end of Nov 2010. And guess what is the theme ?? ... "Back To School!" Initially all of us feel the theme is kind of lame and not many people are going to dress up accordingly. Well, the result showed a different outcome .. surprisingly ;) and... we all enjoyed ourselves with the many games and excitements... and for me, I am truly flattered with my new netbook! :) I am not lucky but blessed indeed. Will talk more on this later on. So basically, we had a 8-course Chinese dinner set. The games are truly amazing .. why? it is really.. again really very much related to the theme. Imagine that you are being ask of a mathematical questions, chemistry knowledge and so on. Interesting! Our table won most of the games like find-who game and they need to do some acting on the stage. A-Roo ended up on stage needed to say five different languages. Ha-ha! Our directors and managers are all dressed up and ready to go. Some dresses like kiddo with green short pants, white shirt tucked and carrying school bag around.. haha well, both me and Ah Roo are not less different... Here's our pix:

I went back hometown the week before and managed to found my precious hehe : the school badge and my school tie ;) .. ok i know i am not wearing a full Malaysian school uniform .. well does it matters? As long as I looked like one, no complaints! I just don't feel like spending a penny on the outfits since I am broke T.T .. as for A-Roo, he's wearing my bro's school uniform. Well that's what we call a "TRUE" uniform....

When they start giving away lucky draw, I was asking God for blessing and providence. I am asking in want of a netbook. It's for A-Roo as we really needed one. God knows my heart and why we needed in *not going to explain here*. There are like 40-inches LED TV, Samsung Galaxy S, printer, home-theater but the netbook is the one that catched my attention. Praying quietly in where I am, I talked to God and let God's will be done. And to my amusement, God answered my prayer when...SJNeoh spoke the magic number.. 1 ... 4 .. 0.. :) So, I just would like to thank God for what He has blessed me. I told A-Roo this magical experience for it is a blessing from God to him through me :)

Record 8: The discovery walk in Mahsuri's Island

Haha, Mahsuri's island is no other than the island of Langkawi. This record is to keep the memorial of our engagement celebration trip :D We went to Langkawi the day after Nov 4th. Thanks to Devali day! This gate-away trip was of 3 days 2 nights in the awesome yet romantic Awana Porto Malai.

Day 1:
-------
We leave PG to LKW early morning with our first ride on Fire Fly...Haha, we have never take a propeller before so it is kind of an interesting experience. ;)

Upon reaching the airport, we rented a tiny kancil for like RM140 for the three days there. They even give us free map. We gave up using the map after we got lost looking for a petrol station. =_= so well well, we decided to stick with our beloved navigator, dear Garmin :P. Since we arrived early than the check-in time, we went around the town looking for lunch. I spotted this pizza restaurant advertisement. The place and pizza look attractive to me so we just went on the quest searching for it. There is a big banner with the word "PIZZA" outside the restaurant thus kind of a easy spot for visitors like us. I ordered a pizza while A-Roo ordered a baguette with salami! They were very very generous with the cheese ... yum yum and the baguette was filled with many salami pieces as well :)

After filling our dearest tummy, we decided to drop by Makam Mahsuri since it is just on the same road heading to hotel. We paid RM5 for the entrance fee. Kinda disappointed initially as the makam was not properly taken care of and the wooden houses there were mostly closed. Nevertheless, we continue to walk around, taking pix, sighting the animals around and wondering how could people even selling the well water for drinking! Haha well to our amaze, we actually think it was worth the value after visiting the museum (last destination in the makam area). We enjoyed reading the history of her, the history after her and the video-remake of her life. We feel sorry for what she had to gone thru just for the sake of someone's jealousy but at the same time, glad the family wars were over with the reconciliation of the newer generation.

Soon after that, we were on the road back again but now is to check-in to our beloved hotel. A-Roo was truly surprised with the place where are staying. He was like "Woooww..." Haha, never thought with the price we paid, it was a good bargain :D Even though it does not have a beach of its own, it truly has a breath-taking sight of its own kind.. the boats' area, island surrounding it, the hotel look itself. It was just .. well.. nice and glamor.

After a walk in the hotel area, we went out to search for food.. well, can't blame us..it was time for dinner... we ended up with Malay food. I found this restaurant thru a blog while I was looking for details of Langkawi. Apparently, the food was really great (I LOVE THE TOMYAM!!) and the price is really reasonable. We ordered a seafood tomyam, ikan bakar and a vege :) Great meal! We then have a good night rest at hotel with the beers that we have bought.
