Record 11: Our marriage preparation progress

*Ahem* *Ahem* This is to keep a simple record of my wedding preparation. A short and sweet record is truly enough for me to refresh my memory of the sweet bitter time..haha.. sweet is because it is indeed sweet (the word implies directly) and loving. Bitter is because it is tedious haha.

We started planning for our wedding in Sept'10 when our parents inquired us on our wedding date target. That's when we started to look into all the possible dates that suits me, A-Roo, my parents, A-Roo's parents and not forgetting our church and our pastor. There are indeed many factors involved *phew* but the excitement was great when we can finalized on the one and only date. Many prayers from many people have filled our prayer bowls. Our biggest Godzilla (in replace of the roadblock :P) in this area is my parents' business of course. It is our family nature that our parents would not let go off their work no matter what occasion it is (chinese new year, convocation, marriage..etc). In order to get a right date, we chose a day which is a weekday and a holiday..and there it is 2nd of May 2011.

Confirmed with Pastor Moses as officiator (Done)
Signed up with Aspial Bridal Shop (Done - 24/10/10)
Confirmed with Lone Pine for 2nd May 2011 (Pay deposit - Hehe!!)

......................and many many more..

Well, this is really really a rough summary.. there were many discussion, many options, many research works involved in each of them.... phew :P

Record 9: Back To School

Our company hold a departmental dinner in Rasa Sayang Hotel end of Nov 2010. And guess what is the theme ?? ... "Back To School!" Initially all of us feel the theme is kind of lame and not many people are going to dress up accordingly. Well, the result showed a different outcome .. surprisingly ;) and... we all enjoyed ourselves with the many games and excitements... and for me, I am truly flattered with my new netbook! :) I am not lucky but blessed indeed. Will talk more on this later on. So basically, we had a 8-course Chinese dinner set. The games are truly amazing .. why? it is really.. again really very much related to the theme. Imagine that you are being ask of a mathematical questions, chemistry knowledge and so on. Interesting! Our table won most of the games like find-who game and they need to do some acting on the stage. A-Roo ended up on stage needed to say five different languages. Ha-ha! Our directors and managers are all dressed up and ready to go. Some dresses like kiddo with green short pants, white shirt tucked and carrying school bag around.. haha well, both me and Ah Roo are not less different... Here's our pix:

I went back hometown the week before and managed to found my precious hehe : the school badge and my school tie ;) .. ok i know i am not wearing a full Malaysian school uniform .. well does it matters? As long as I looked like one, no complaints! I just don't feel like spending a penny on the outfits since I am broke T.T .. as for A-Roo, he's wearing my bro's school uniform. Well that's what we call a "TRUE" uniform....

When they start giving away lucky draw, I was asking God for blessing and providence. I am asking in want of a netbook. It's for A-Roo as we really needed one. God knows my heart and why we needed in *not going to explain here*. There are like 40-inches LED TV, Samsung Galaxy S, printer, home-theater but the netbook is the one that catched my attention. Praying quietly in where I am, I talked to God and let God's will be done. And to my amusement, God answered my prayer when...SJNeoh spoke the magic number.. 1 ... 4 .. 0.. :) So, I just would like to thank God for what He has blessed me. I told A-Roo this magical experience for it is a blessing from God to him through me :)

Record 8: The discovery walk in Mahsuri's Island

Haha, Mahsuri's island is no other than the island of Langkawi. This record is to keep the memorial of our engagement celebration trip :D We went to Langkawi the day after Nov 4th. Thanks to Devali day! This gate-away trip was of 3 days 2 nights in the awesome yet romantic Awana Porto Malai.

Day 1:
-------
We leave PG to LKW early morning with our first ride on Fire Fly...Haha, we have never take a propeller before so it is kind of an interesting experience. ;)

Upon reaching the airport, we rented a tiny kancil for like RM140 for the three days there. They even give us free map. We gave up using the map after we got lost looking for a petrol station. =_= so well well, we decided to stick with our beloved navigator, dear Garmin :P. Since we arrived early than the check-in time, we went around the town looking for lunch. I spotted this pizza restaurant advertisement. The place and pizza look attractive to me so we just went on the quest searching for it. There is a big banner with the word "PIZZA" outside the restaurant thus kind of a easy spot for visitors like us. I ordered a pizza while A-Roo ordered a baguette with salami! They were very very generous with the cheese ... yum yum and the baguette was filled with many salami pieces as well :)

After filling our dearest tummy, we decided to drop by Makam Mahsuri since it is just on the same road heading to hotel. We paid RM5 for the entrance fee. Kinda disappointed initially as the makam was not properly taken care of and the wooden houses there were mostly closed. Nevertheless, we continue to walk around, taking pix, sighting the animals around and wondering how could people even selling the well water for drinking! Haha well to our amaze, we actually think it was worth the value after visiting the museum (last destination in the makam area). We enjoyed reading the history of her, the history after her and the video-remake of her life. We feel sorry for what she had to gone thru just for the sake of someone's jealousy but at the same time, glad the family wars were over with the reconciliation of the newer generation.

Soon after that, we were on the road back again but now is to check-in to our beloved hotel. A-Roo was truly surprised with the place where are staying. He was like "Woooww..." Haha, never thought with the price we paid, it was a good bargain :D Even though it does not have a beach of its own, it truly has a breath-taking sight of its own kind.. the boats' area, island surrounding it, the hotel look itself. It was just .. well.. nice and glamor.

After a walk in the hotel area, we went out to search for food.. well, can't blame us..it was time for dinner... we ended up with Malay food. I found this restaurant thru a blog while I was looking for details of Langkawi. Apparently, the food was really great (I LOVE THE TOMYAM!!) and the price is really reasonable. We ordered a seafood tomyam, ikan bakar and a vege :) Great meal! We then have a good night rest at hotel with the beers that we have bought.

Record 7: Give thanks..

Sometimes it really awes me on how God works miracles in our life. Haha, I will keep remind myself of the good things that come and the wonders God has worked for me either upon hearing my prayers or He knows my heart. Well, will just leave this short and simple.

Heavenly Father, I just want to thank you for knowing my heart and hearing my prayer. I thank you Lord for resolving my matter with my mum and not just that, Lord, You showered my weekend with her and my family with many joy and laughter despite all the bad scenarios that I have anticipated. Thank you Lord, that you even flourished A-Roo’s relationship with my family. I know my family enjoyed his company. Lord, You always provide me the best and more than I have asked and I know my “Thank You” might not be able to express my gratitude in full but You know my heart. I give thanks all these in Jesus’s name. Amen.

Record 6: The missing cake!!

Haha, this is to remind me that I have my very 1st birthday cake from A-Roo!! This incident is on 29th Oct 2010. Ohh..it is the Millie Crepe keke.... Mr Roo bought cake without telling me :P The story goes like this, we have decided to go back home early that day to prepare for our CG gathering in our house. Upon reaching my car, Mr Roo said he forgot to take something from his cube so we decided that I will go home 1st. Mana tau, I go and wait for him in the car till i saw him out. Blur case 1: *Click* He was holding a big green plastic bag and yet I didn't suspect anything. =_=. We drove along together and upon reaching home, Mr Roo was very unhappy and upset (dunno y...) for I want him to go down together. He in his moody mood zoomed down from the car and went into house directly. Blur case 2: I didn't notice the thing he carried =_=. Blur case 3: I went and open the fridge and I ... I ....I ... saw the cake kekeke :P I zoomed up to find him and thanked him for the cake! Now I know why he's in bad mood. Just simply because I always get into his way hahaha! THANK YOU, A-ROo :) ... the day ends with a nice bday celebration with my CG :)

This pix showed "behind-the-scene" while I was making a wish :P

Record 5: I don't know what I can do

I have one bad encounter today. :( It's about my mum and me. It really hurts so much and come to a point I don't know what I can say, what I can do. I really care and worry for her but yet my care for her seems like a burden to her. The things I mentioned seems not helping at all and the things she said hurts me dearly. I just don't understand how could she put that matter above her daughter's matter. We always talk things through in problems we have but never when come to this. Like me and my bro said, pray to God and leave it to the Lord to make things happened.

Heavenly Father, hear the cries of the needy. We need you so much Lord, for You are Almighty. You know our hearts and you know our desires. You know what is best and what needed to be done. I just want to surrender this matter unto your hand and may Your will be done, O Lord. And Lord, may You also restore my relationship with mum and let there be a strong love bond between us always so we may trust each other always. Amen.

Record 4: The write-up of 4th Nov assignment

The story hasn't end yet when the time is 1:30am. I didn't take any leave on my bday (how i wish i had :P..). I am supposed to have a bday lunch with my group-mates but they ended up canceling the meet-up due to absent of couple of them. Sweet lil Jess approached me and asked to have lunch with our usual lunchmates :) Well, agreed and we have a yummy lunch in Nando's (I have meeting at 1pm -_- ..). Thanks guys for the treat! Hehehe... I received many blessings and wishes through FB and messages everywhere. Thank you for those who remembered (even if you didn't wish me :D ..) . We left office earlier today as Mr A-Roo has a dinner date with me at home with his full of courtesy invitation given few days earlier. He cooked my yummy yummy Ragu spaghetti (the bottle of sauce that we could only source from Jaya Grocery, Kelana Jaya. We finished the stock we gotten from US *sniff*). Mr A-Roo has been a great cook! Trust me .. His spaghetti is the best I have never eaten before and I have stopped eating bolognese spaghetti out after knowing I can get the best at home *wink*! The fragrant aroma fills the air when the super-chef is at work and me being the sous chef keke... Truly love your cook, ah dear :D

After the meal, we decided to go down Gurney to fix the ring. It was loose by two sizes. And, I finally know how much the ring costs. I was surprised! He must have spend a lot of efforts finding the perfect ring that he thinks suits me. *sniff* *sniff* All I can say to A-Roo "Dear, you always gave me the best you could. Thank you dear and love you! :) " Well, somehow I still feel these words are unable to express my thoughts. I just know as long as his heart is sincere and loving me all times, that's already my biggest carat of diamond! :) Well, it will takes one week to fix the ring.. and we drive home safely after that. The day ended with a 12am-past-over with A-Roo accompanying me :) ...

Record 3: My birthday and also my big day = BDAY! ^_^

I have many many wonderful birthday celebrations! Thanks for all my friends and esp to A-Roo who made my day (before, during and after my birthday!). Haha, it is kinda funny to see that as we grow older, we receive more treats on meals and less on the gift side. For me, when people remembered my birthday, it is already an awesome birthday presents! Thank you for all the messages on FB. :D

Well well, I wanna record down the special events happened that make a great BDAY for me :P

Date: 3rd Nov 2010
**---------------**
Mr A-Roo decided to bring me out for a pre-birthday celebration and as usual he won't tell me upfront... -_- We left office that day as he said he would like to go home earlier. We passed SeaGate and he said "Ohh let's go eat first". We passed Tesco and I said "We go Genting for meal?" and he said "yup". We passed Genting and he said "I forgot to turn". The whole conversation go round and round till he reached Mansion 32 and said "Let's eat here then" .. Well, I am both =_= and ^_^. I love you, dear. We both ordered the set dinner. I had the lamb set and he had the beef set. Basically the two most expensive meals. My A-Roo said we should just enjoy the day and there goes the selection. Haha... All the set dinners has the salad, soup + garlic bread, the main course, a dessert and a cup of tea/coffee. We enjoyed the time talking and laughing and err..sneaking on our colleagues who were there too haha. The meals are great! Truly excellent with nicely cook beef and unique lamb preparation (with ratatouille!!) Well, actually during the meal, we have a distress call from a bestest friend that just reached Bukit Kayu Hitam after a few days stucked in the horrible flood of Hatyai! They needed a ride from Alor Setar back to PG. As mentioned clearly, the call is from BESTEST friend haha .. so we left after a quick walk in the beach area and adjourned to the mission :) It was indeed...indeed...indeed a special kind of a celebration *wink*. Well .. story does not end thr! :P

We reached home pretty late like around 12:15am (4th Nov). My dear is always the 1st to wish me and this time in the car with three colleagues that are exhausted from the Hatyai trip :)
Well, after my bath, my A-Roo asked me down to the kitchen (I think to drink water or so..pretty common thingy). Well, the blur me, never think much when is around him, go down to meet him up. He asked me to open the top compartment of our tall black kitchen cabinet to grab some stuffs. Again without much thinking, I just opened and to my SURPRISE, THERE IS MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT. Sylvanian family doll house!! *gasped for air* It is something that I have been waiting for since last year. It is the Grand Hotel version! One I have never think I will own for it is expensive ^_^ Well, A-Roo opened the box and took out the whole house and placed it on our dining table. He then quickly take out the two additional figures he has bought - a male and a female lamb figurines :) so cute of him for he said "this is the two of us and this is our home!" :D and then he grabbed something behind the figurine boxes. And there goes another super-surprise... The Ring *smiling sweetly* He is very excited and embarrassed at the same time. He took the ring and thinking which finger he should place..without asking me to marry him haha. Well, he did asked right before he placed the ring :D Well he said "will you marry me". and what more can i say? Of course it is "Yes I do"! ta-dah! I LOVE YOU, A-Roo!! :D then the ring on my hand :) I am engaged!! I am all so over-whelmed with the joy and blessing .Never never do I forgot to thank God for everything He has provided... and then another surprise...the ring comes with a pair of earrings :) .. the story stopped but never end yet at time 1:30am.

Record 2: How at times we take things for granted..

Yesterday (dated 11/1), I have had a great and amazing dinner with my director, N to celebrate my birthday. Since the time when I first stepped down in US, he has been a wonderful friend despite being my superior. Every year, there is a
dinner and a gift if he's around. Thank you, N. :) We had our meal at this Chin’s Stylish Chinese Cuisine (it's a fine dining! Yes, you get it right..a fine dining!! :)) Too bad, I can only snapped pix using my no-flash and low-resolution iPhone cam -.- The place is so nicely decorated with European style chandeliers and oil paintings hanging above the ceiling. It has a dark mysterious ambient. Not of those we expected from a regular Chinese restaurant. One will feel a pinch of curiosity when looking at those paintings as they have the combo cultures of Asian and English. Well, that makes the place exotic in a way :) We ordered this delicacy set (H) which costs RM78++ per person. It took us like around 2hours ++ to complete the whole meal.

Well, there is a dumb me who actually placed my handbag on the other chair and missed the calls from SH. [SH was worrying at home for "Who Eats Till So late" - not knowing this after a later time :P ]. It was around 10:30pm when I noticed his calls. Truly sorry dear. I reached home late like 11pm and I was very happy to see my dear. He made me an invitation card for a dinner at home on my birthday. Haha, there is a catch on the card. It is written there "Please tick one" and to my awe, there are three options and none is saying no for the invitation.

Cute little A-Roo as always :). Well later..awhile after that, again the dumb me, feeling a little bit left out when seeing SH concentrating on his game (FB). I was thinking that "Haih, I am home late and yet SH never really pay attention to me". The dumb me again, throwing a bit of temper (-_-'') (sorry, dear) regarding this matter. To my surprise and heart-aching, only find out that SH was very VERY worry about me for he couldn't able to reach me. He had planned to go back home earlier to make me a card for birthday. He waited in the couch for me most of the time. He even logged in to "A" to ensure I am not in office. Aww... dear, so sorry for my silliness. He once again triumphed my heart and made me love him over and over again for he has been so thoughtful to me at all time. No temper on me but only love and care and how silly for me to not notice that :) Love you dear.

As I sleep, I made a prayer. Asked God for forgiveness and a loving heart. I really do not want take things for granted instead appreciate things that are blessed upon me. A-Roo..you never fail to make my heart smiles. :)

Record 1: How we miss out the many good things that lied behind the bad things

I heard the sermon the other day in church. Pastor mentioned that bible is essential as a living guide. Our life on earth is never an easy one with many kinds of people to deal with and many unseen, unpredictable circumstances that we need to face. We need to be strong and courageous in every scenario.
I think most people is like me. Tend to worry for the things that happened and blurred out my sight on the other many things that happened at the same time as well as the result of the problem we are facing.
My boss (a.k.a SH my fiance) always reminded me of the good things around despite the issue. We have problem with our neighbor regarding the placement of that stupid garbage bin on public area. Eventually, we stopped arguing with her knowing that SHE IS IMPOSSIBLE. Both MPPP and police are not an effective tool towards her. We are not wrong in this case. We have proof (recorded using my old iPhone)by MPPP regarding everyone right on placing it there. It is just HER. I guess I will just leave it to God to deal with her. :P However, along the process, we have a better, closer relationship with another neighbor (they always call us if there is a red light or to check whether we are fine). Besides, we also foster a gd relationship with the long lost ex-owner of the house. A nice lady that searched doc on house plan for us and story-telling about her experience with the bad lady =_=. We also learned the process of police and MPPP. See..we gained more. Besides, my boss (again a.k.a my fiance) started to spend more time on me to assure that I am emotionally fine :D
Problems will never end..they come and they go and they come again. I will remind myself to see what I gain rather than what I lose. Thank you God for providing me and sorry that I have been blind of your work. I know that You Lord never leave us and is in the midst of Your work as a response to our prayer :) God we need you at all time.

My X number of blog [28.10.10]

This is the start of another new blog. I never had really been consistent and persistent in keeping a blog. I always thought a blog needs to have great and interesting contents. And that's the focal reason why I failed. So, I will make this new blog as simple as possible. Sharing thoughts of what I have in mind or any incidents I encounter in my days. A record of life is a record you might lost as time goes by...
